Yvonne Strahovski stopped by Nerd HQ in San Diego last weekend for a conversation with Zachary Levi. She answered questions about how she got started acting, working with Michael C. Hall on Dexter and Kiefer Sutherland on 24, doing her own hair, and more. Don’t miss her handstand as she leaves the stage!
The finale of 24: Live Another Day aired on Monday, so this is a little late, but it’s a cute video of Yvonne with her co-star Mary Lynn Rajskub teasing the end.
As 24: Live Another Day moves into the second half of its limited series run, Yvonne Strahovski’s Kate Morgan continues to impress viewers and Jack Bauer. In a recent interview, 24 executive producer Howard Gordon and series co-creator Robert Cochran told TVLine that they have considered a future for the series with Yvonne taking over the lead from Kiefer Sutherland.
TVLine also asked Gordon and series co-creator Robert Cochran if, should 24 return again in one form or another, Kiefer Sutherland might pass the baton, leaving, say, Yvonne Strahovksi’s spunky Kate Morgan to fight the next good fight.
“I think it’s a possibility,” Cochran allowed. “There are no specific plans right now, but that’s the kind of thing we’d consider.” Added Gordon: “The format itself is very sturdy and with the right story it can be compelling. So if a [Jack-free] story presented itself to us, we would be open to it.”
What do you think, would you watch Kate Morgan lead the way against the world’s baddies?

On the same night she co-stars in the two-hour premiere of 24: Live Another Day on FOX, Yvonne Strahovski guest stars in the long-awaited new season of Louie on FX.
Season 4 of Louie premieres Monday, May 5 at 10/9c on FX with back-to-back episodes. Yvonne guests in the second episode, “Model”, as a woman who drives Louie crazy.
The New York Post has a new interview with Yvonne Strahovski, along with stunning photos of Yvonne in gorgeous spring dresses and shoes that. I. need. now.
While it’s lovely to get some new about Yvonne’s role in 24: Live Another Day, this reporter clearly doesn’t know much about her career trajectory. The piece is written as though 24 is Yvonne’s first major role, basically writing off Chuck and Dexter as “recurring roles”. Ahem.
Here’s an excerpt about 24:
Strahovski, 31, says she plays her super-agent character, Kate Morgan, with a purposeful coldness and detachment. Morgan has been unwittingly married to a traitor, which she and the audience discover as the show opens. Strahovski delivers a star-making performance on the highly anticipated “24” reboot, which premieres May 5 on Fox and picks up four years after the original series ended its nine-year run in 2010 — with Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) living as a fugitive in London.
“You meet Kate at a point in her life when she’s feeling dejected and doesn’t have a lot to hold onto,” Strahovski says. “When Jack Bauer comes into the picture, and she has an opportunity to make things right and maybe prove herself, she jumps at it, and then turns into someone who’s hunting him in a way. It’s dark.”
Beyond that, Strahovski can’t reveal much more about the closely guarded plot.
With less than a month to go until 24: Live Another Day premieres, FOX has released a full-length movie-style trailer. The focus is on Kiefer Sutherland’s Jack Bauer, of course, but Yvonne Strahovski gets a bit of screen time – and a nice jab – as the woman tasked with bringing Jack down. Take a look.
24: Live Another Day debuts Monday, May 5 on FOX.

Yvonne Strahovski was a guest on The Queen Latifah Show last week, and she presented Queen with an unusual gift – her ponytail. Take a look:
