Yvonne Strahovski walked the red carpet in New York City today for NBC’s 2011-2012 upfronts presentation, alongside Chuck co-stars Zachary Levi, Joshua Gomez, & Ryan McPartlin. Yvonne showed off her new brunette ‘do (it’s for her role in the feature film My Mother’s Curse). The Chuck season finale airs tonight, May 16, at 8/7c on NBC. Season 5 returns in the Fall when Chuck moves to Fridays at 8/7c.
The folks over at WeGiveAChuck.com have launched a new renewal initiative targeting Chuck‘s advertisers. It’s a simple concept: just send a “thank you” postcard to any or all of the advertisers (contact info is provided) to give them a clearer idea of just how many people their message is reaching. Even better? International fans can participate! This week’s targets are Cloud B and Tide. Get the scoop at WeGiveAChuck.com.
Yvonne Strahovski won the Choice TV Actress: Action surf board at this year’s Teen Choice Awards, something voted on by fans around the world. Zachary Levi won the Choice TV Actor: Action surf board for his work on Chuck, too. The pair also presented the Choice Athlete: Male award to soccer star David Beckham. Check out the video of them presenting below, and see photos from the event in the ChuckTV.net gallery.
Chuck star Yvonne Strahovski talked with the Chicago Tribune’s Mo Ryan about last night’s episode of Chuck, the season so far, and what’s on the way, plus she answered some fan questions. Here’s an excerpt:
There was a lot for Sarah to deal with in Season 3 — opening up to Chuck, then him choosing not to run off with her, her watching him change and contending with her own feelings and all that. Was this the most challenging season for you as an actress or was it on par with the previous seasons?
I loved this season. I feel like it just gets better every season. The more complicated it gets, the more fun I have as an actress doing it. There were so many layers. The journey this season was kind of more complicated. She wanted to [run off] and Chuck rejected that idea, and I don’t think she was expecting that at all. That was a big, giant slap in the face. I think she wanted to open up but that kind of stopped her and she went back to square one.
After [Monday's "Chuck" episode], I think it’s such a relief for her. She tried to find something else with Shaw but it’s just not the same. They both realized that whatever they were trying to look for in other people, they’re never going to find it, because it’s right there in front of them.
Mark your calendars, Chucksters! NBC just announced that Chuck will return on Sunday, January 10 with two back-to-back episodes before moving to its regular Monday at 8/7c timeslot on January 11. That’s right, we’re getting THREE episodes of Chuck in two days to kick off the third season! As if that weren’t exciting enough, here’s Zac to announce the news and give us a sneak peek at season 3!
